Not to brag or anything.

I'm cute every which way.  See?

Walking is Overrated

I know that walking is the great baby milestone, but I found that there are other efficient modes of transportation that might just impress you.  Like the one I demonstrate in the video above.  See, I'm a really good crawler--I can crawl as fast as my parents can walk!  But then I discovered that if I reduce the friction between the carpet and my hand, I can glide across the floor without having to pick up my hand!  This allows me to crawl even faster!!  I amaze myself sometimes.

Jungle Gym

My crib totally doubles as a jungle gym.  Though I'm pretty tall for my age, I had a hard time climbing up the side of my crib/jungle gym.  So, I grabbed a toy and used it as a step stool.  I'm so clever.  I almost got about halfway up before my mom foiled my plan.  No big deal.  I'll just get her to trust me enough to "turn her back for one second."

Graduation

Much to my mom's dismay joy, I have finally learned the mechanics of the upright human walk.  It's not so hard.  I stumble a little, but I'm getting there.  One small step for Baby Ben...er, you fill in the blank.

Water Water Everywhere

Here they are!  More pictures of me, my dad, and my mom at the neighborhood pool.  I'm glad we finally made it back out to the pool.

My dad could use the sunshine, obviously.

My mom tried to convince me to go splashing in the water, but I wasn't quite ready for that yet.

My dad forgot to bring his own beach towel.  It was OK, though.  I let him use mine.  I think his head is too big for my puppy towel.

I had lots of fun.  The water was cool and relaxing.  VERY relaxing!

Where's Ben?

One of my favorite games of all time is the Where's Ben game.  It's funny when my mom and dad can't find me and I hear them asking each other, "Where's Ben?"  They can never find me behind the curtain.

Tee-hee!  Here I am!  I find the best hiding places ever.

mamamawhoappthbt

My mom really likes the first 14 seconds of this video.  I wonder why.  Ahem.  Anyhoo, in the rest of the video, I'm playing a game called Whoa in which I pretend I'm dizzy and go, "Whoooaaa."  In the very last part of the video, I'm practicing the fine art of the raspberry.

Future Michael Phelps?

Here I am at the swimming pool for the first time ever.  I would have posted more pictures, but my mom doesn't want the world to see her in a bikini there just aren't a lot of good ones of me in the pool.  My mom and dad would take me to the pool again and snap more photos.  Unfortunately some kid--NOT me--pooped in the pool and it's closed for scrubbing.  I promise I'll post pictures of my backstroke once the pool opens again.

Table Manners

What are you eating, Ben?

Take a look for yourself...Spinach and chicken!  Hey, you asked.

Stringbean

Ooooh.  Lookit that cute baby!  Here I am getting ready for a bath.  Washcloth, check!  I'm growing up, but definitely not out.  I'm long, lean, and mean!  My mom says that I'm a stringbean.  I like stringbeans, so I'll take that as a compliment.

Hello, There.

I'm back again!  Whew.  Things have been busy-busy around here.  As you'll see in upcoming posts, I've been doing all kinds of crazy stuff.  I've figured out a way to crawl even faster, I discovered a neat game to play with Emmett, I've been getting around town, I've gone swimming, and...I'm starting to take my first steps!!  That's right, folks.  Stay tuned.
