All Grow'd Up

That I am. I'm a big boy. Don't I look like one (especially with my new haircut)? I've come a long way! I'm TWO years old now. I even go to nursery school all by myself. Here's a list of some of my other big boy accomplishments:
  • I use more and more words everyday. I know the names of several animals and can make their animal noises. I'm really good at making pig sounds. Snort.
  • I help my mom and dad out around the house. I like unloading the dishwasher.
  • I'm a pretty good singer. I sing along with my mom, and sometimes I make her laugh because I like to use different singing voices. She thinks my dinosaur voice is hilarious.
  • I'm a good eater. Ms. Michelle, one of my teachers, is impressed that I will try every dish Chef Nate offers at school. My favorite foods are berries and other fruits. I don't really like candy.
  • I've been to the dentist twice, and during the most recent visit, I didn't make even a little fuss. And no cavities!
  • For fun, I like riding my tricycle. I'm starting to learn how to pedal myself, but I kind of enjoy letting my parents push me along.
  • I enjoy reading time with my mom and dad. I know some of my books so well, that I'll read along. Sometimes, I like to read them by myself. OK, so I can't really read yet, but I do like looking at the pictures and making up the words as I go.
  • I'm super-fast. I run as fast as lightning. My mom calls me Spiderman whenever I climb up the stairs at home since she can hardly keep up anymore.
So, there it is. I'm growing up. Before you know it, you'll hardly recognize me...

A Hairy Situation

So the day finally arrived when my mom and dad decided that I really, REALLY needed a haircut. You think they were tired of seeing my pushing my hair out of my eyes? Try having your sight obscured by a curtain of beautiful, soft curly locks hair. Sheesh. Still, it was a bit hard for my mom me to give up my hair. It did take two years to grow, you know. My parents are pretty smart; in anticipation of another meltdown (this was the 4th attempt at getting my haircut), they brought a laptop with my favorite show loaded on it.

That probably wasn't absolutely necessary. Mr. Cecil is a very skilled barber...

my ears remain intact...

and I think I look quite handsome (well, at least I thought so later).

What could have gone wrong? I got my haircut at Friendly Barber Shop after all. The lollipop was a bonus.

Happy 2nd Birthday to ME!!

I'm TWO years old! That's a pretty big accomplishment for a little guy like me, so my mom and dad made sure to celebrate! Here I am about to dive into my ice cream cake. Yum!

We spent the day at my favorite place. Everyone knows where that is. Here I am doing some major excavation with a little help from my dad.

What's a birthday without presents?! I got lots of cool gifts like this recycling truck. Hey, it's my birthday; I can play with it however I want.

This is the awesome train set I got from my Grandpa Mike. Choo-choo! Thanks, Mom and Dad for making my birthday special. I also would like to thank everyone who sent me all of my birthday gifts and well-wishes. Thank YOU!!

School Daze

Monday was my very first day of nursery school. I'm a big boy now, so I get to spend a few days a week hanging out with new friends, playing, and learning new stuff. Here I am washing my hands. This is the first thing we do when I get to school.

Here's my awesome classroom. I and my classmates are called the Purple Dinosaurs. Rawr!

I have my very own bin. See? It has my name on it and everything.

See, Mom? I'm doing fine. No need to worry about me! My new friend might need a hug, but I promise I'll be OK!

Snip, Snip?

So, apparently my mom and dad think that it's time that I get my haircut. Yes, I see how haircuts work. I've been here twice already, and I believe I didn't want a haircut then, and I do NOT want a haircut now!

Oh, you think bribes will work? You think a little lollipop will get me to sit still on one of those very scary chairs? Hilarious.

Thanks for the lollipop, though. Oh, and I have no idea why you guys even think I need a haircut anyway.

New Heights

I know I've mentioned before that I'm a tall kid. My pediatrician tells me that I'm taller than at least 90% of other kids my age! Look at how I'm tall enough to look out of the window...

...with a little help of course. I said I'm a tall kid, not a giant! Hee!
