Look at me! I'm 6 months old. My mom and dad say that it feels like I've been around forever, but I'm still pretty new even though I've learned all kinds of stuff since I was born.
Since I'm a big boy now, my mom and dad have been letting me try new foods and they've been helping me learn to crawl. They say that I'm old enough to sleep through the night, but I beg to differ. OK, so maybe I am old enough, but I'm definitely little enough to still want to cuddle with my mom at night. I think she secretly likes to cuddle with me, too.
I didn't realize that I had a pacifier stuck to my hand. It's tasty, warm, and always handy. I would just stop using my rubber pacifier, but I like the look on my mom and dad's faces whenever I toss the rubber pacifier out of my crib. They crack me up.
My mom and dad came in to my room to check on me last night, and this is how they found me. They're still wondering what I was up to. I'm not telling. All I will say is that my feet-first strategy did not work. Actually, I'm kinda glad they came in when they did; as you can see, I was just a tiny bit stuck.
My dad created a little play space for me made out of my Boppy and the afghan Great-Grandma Louise made. My dad calls it "the doughnut." It's a perfect spot because I can sit up or lay down to play with my favorite toys. Sometimes I have so much fun that I get really tired and end up falling asleep right in the doughnut.
This weekend, my mom and I went to mommy & baby yoga class. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing for both of us. Here I am doing my favorite pose. I call it the upside-down dog pose. Yep, it was very, very relaxing.
My parents finally got the message. For at least a couple of weeks, I've been grabbing at their plates and watching them intently as they ate. I've even gone so far as to growl at them. It's about time they decided to feed me solid food! I'm still learning, though. Today rice cereal and bananas, next week...STEAK!
