Check. It. Out. This is soundSpace at the Museum of Life + Science. I bust a move, and then different sounds fill the room. I think this is my mom and dad's favorite place at the museum because they like watching me dance and run around and around and around making music. By the time I get home, I'm pooped and ready for bed. Hey, wait a minute...

Child Labor
My mom and dad are slave drivers! OK, not really. I just happen to really, really like vacuuming. I also enjoy dusting and wiping down the kitchen counters. I even help clean up my own spills. For now.

Little Drummer Boy
I like music a lot. My favorite kind of music is banging on hard surfaces like the wood floor, pots and pans banging together, and banging on drums as you see me doing in this video. Well, it's music to me, but my mom and dad think it's just noise. Once I get better at the eye-hand coordination thing, they'll start to hear the music.

Walking is Overrated
I know that walking is the great baby milestone, but I found that there are other efficient modes of transportation that might just impress you. Like the one I demonstrate in the video above. See, I'm a really good crawler--I can crawl as fast as my parents can walk! But then I discovered that if I reduce the friction between the carpet and my hand, I can glide across the floor without having to pick up my hand! This allows me to crawl even faster!! I amaze myself sometimes.
Graduation
Much to my mom's dismay joy, I have finally learned the mechanics of the upright human walk. It's not so hard. I stumble a little, but I'm getting there. One small step for Baby Ben...er, you fill in the blank.

mamamawhoappthbt
My mom really likes the first 14 seconds of this video. I wonder why. Ahem. Anyhoo, in the rest of the video, I'm playing a game called Whoa in which I pretend I'm dizzy and go, "Whoooaaa." In the very last part of the video, I'm practicing the fine art of the raspberry.

Look Out!
Oh, snap! I can stand up on my own now. Don't let this video clip fool you; I can actually stand up for several seconds. In fact, my dad saw me standing for about 30 seconds today. Now if I can just figure out this walking thing...You should see the look on my mom's face. I think it's a bizarre mix of fear, pride, and despair. I wonder how she'll react when she sees me take my first steps. I won't have to wonder for too long, though. I'm pretty sure I'll be walking in the next month or so.

On the Move
I might have just figured out how to crawl, but I'm ready to get up on my feet. My dad installed a gate at the top of the stairs already because he knows I'm on the move. Look out, Mom and Dad! Here I come!!

Look what I can do!
I have absolutely no idea why my mom would be nervous about this particular milestone.

Movin' & Groovin'
My mom and dad have been arguing over who I got my rhythm from ever since I introduced my moves a few days ago. Here I am in my car seat jamming out to Fergie on the radio. Pretty good, huh? I'm not so sure it was either of my parents who gave me my rhythm. I've seen them dance. They really shouldn't.

Splish Splash
I'm starting to really like bath time. Now that my motor skills are a little more developed, I can actually play in the water. I also like splashing water on my mom and dad. It cracks me up. Hey, it's not like they couldn't use a bath, too (especially Daddy).

Whatchu Talkin' About, Ben?
I may not have a very good grasp of the English language (or any language for that matter), but I do have lots to say! I often have long conversations with my mom and dad. They're good listeners.
