Whatchu Talkin' About, Ben?

I may not have a very good grasp of the English language (or any language for that matter), but I do have lots to say!  I often have long conversations with my mom and dad.  They're good listeners.

First Christmas

They say that babies can't be spoiled, but I think my mom and dad may have gone a bit overboard with my first Christmas.  I didn't mind, though!

I don't know what's in this box, but this shiny green bow looks mighty tasty.

Look at all of my presents!  I got a toy puppy and books and funny reindeer slippers and a car and...all kinds of cool stuff.

My mom and dad said that they got the best gift of all:  ME!  (They're so corny.)

Say "Cheese"!

It occurred to my mom that the photos in the last few posts don't show me smiling.  So, she's just posting these pictures for no other reason but to show off my smile. 

Prognosis: Excellent!

Today, I had my 4-month check-up.  Look how big I'm getting--especially my belly!  I now weigh 13 lbs., 5.5 oz. and I'm 26 inches tall.

My pediatrician says that my mom and dad are doing a great job because I'm healthy and thriving.  I look happy in this picture, but at the end of my check-up, I got three shots.  Ouch!  My mom said that I was really good, because I hardly cried at all.

Calling All Tooth Fairies

Was it the buckets of drool soaking the front of my shirts, or was it the finger-chewing that made it obvious that I'm starting to teeth? Well, now that I'm teething, I have to wear a bib. At least my mom and dad brought Sophie the giraffe home so that I have something to gnaw on to make my sore gums feel better.

I'm a big boy now!

My mom thought it would be cute to make me wear the little stocking cap I wore in the hospital when I was born.  Can't she see that I'm a big boy now?  My noggin is way too big for that tiny baby hat!

ZzzzZzzzz...

I'm not sure why my mom and dad are tired all the time. I get plenty of sleep! I go to bed pretty early around 7:00pm. I only wake up twice for a late night snack, sometimes three times. With my naps during the day, which can be anytime (I like to keep Mommy and Daddy on their toes), I'm sure they could sneak in a nap, too.

Here are some funny pictures from our family portrait photo shoot. Mommy was trying to snap the photo, but Daddy was being silly. She must have taken a hundred shots to get a good one. I think these are just as nice, especially the one where I'm eating Mommy's nose!

My daddy doesn't mind changing stinky diapers.  In fact, he changed at least a hundred stinky diapers while he stayed home with me for 6 weeks after I was born...

My daddy is the only one who can get me to burp really loud...

That's why I LOVE my daddy!  He's the best.

Tummy Time

Tummy time is fun!

But after a while, I get really pooped.  Is it nap time yet?

BFF

Here I am in my crib with Pupito.  Whenever my mom and dad put me down for a nap, we hang out and talk before I fall asleep.  Pupito is my best friend...well, my second best friend (after Daddy).

Tar Heel Born, Tar Heel Bred

I guess my mom and dad already decided where I'll go to college.  At the very least, they say, I have to cheer for CAROLINA!

Cockadoodledoo!

This is what I looked like when I woke up this morning.  No matter what my mom does, she can't seem to get my hair to lie flat.  She says it's OK, though, because she thinks it's cute.

Extra Credit

 My pediatrician says I get extra credit because I'm only two months old, and I can already roll over from front to back.  I'm not supposed to be able to do that until I'm four months old!  He didn't believe my parents until he flipped me on my tummy to examine my back.  I preferred lying on my back, so I rolled over right there on the exam table.  I showed him!

Thank you Grandma Linda for the cute outfit!  I didn't think it would fit yet, but I'm growing really fast!

Hey, good lookin'.

Here I am, almost 2 weeks old.  Check out my hair!  My mom knew I would have a lot of hair since she had terrible heartburn when I was in her belly.
