Recovery!

It took a couple of weeks to get over my cold, but as you can see here, I'm feeling better. I finally felt well enough to start playing like I normally do...

...and sassing my mom and dad like I normally do.

Happy Holidays!

So, even though I got sick, I still had a terrific Christmas, thanks to my mom and dad, and aunties and grandmas and grandpas. They gave me tons of awesome gifts. It took forever to unwrap them all.

But I did. And then I took a nap. Thanks, everyone for all of my awesome presents! Merry Christmas!!

Evel BENieval

I do my own stunts. It totally freaks my mom out and makes her go "GAH!" all the time. She says I'm a regular Evel Knievel.

Sickie

I was on a pretty good run for a while. But, around Christmastime, I got sick for the very first time. I'm talking sick! It started out with a sniffle, then I got an ear infection, and then I got croup! Yuck!! My mom, dad, and I had lots of loooong nights! Some holiday.

Even though I didn't feel very well, I still played a little bit in my room. Wow, I'm so small, I can still fit into my toy bin.

Whew! Being sick really tires you out. I think I'll play lying down. And keep that nasal aspirator away from me. I'm serious.

Little Drummer Boy

I like music a lot. My favorite kind of music is banging on hard surfaces like the wood floor, pots and pans banging together, and banging on drums as you see me doing in this video. Well, it's music to me, but my mom and dad think it's just noise. Once I get better at the eye-hand coordination thing, they'll start to hear the music.

Chompers

I now have six teeth! During my most recent visit with the pediatrician, the doctor said that my molars are coming in. Maybe that's why I've been downright ornery slightly crabby lately. This picture was taken about a month ago, so you can only see my two bottom teeth and part of my two top teeth.

Ready, Steady, GO!

My mom and dad cannot believe how fast I can move. What do they expect? I've been walking now for a few months. Yeah, I've got skillz.

Finally caught up to me. They're so old.

Children's Museums!

One of my favorite places to go is Kidzu Children's Museum in Chapel Hill. It's not too far from where I and my parents live, so I get to hang out and play with a bunch of other funny kids.

This is the entryway of Kidzu Museum.

Here I am playing in the kitchen area. I think this is my favorite spot in the museum. The utensils double as weapons, which is really cool. My mom doesn't think it's cool.

Here I am in the outdoor garden area at Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh. It was a fun day trip, and I met this funny kid you see here. He's a good dancer. But I have awesome hair.

Isn't this neat? It's a weird eyeball window that overlooks downtown Raleigh.

Vroom! I like cars. I'm looking forward to getting my driver's license so that I can drive real cars.

Delirium

Someone needs more sleep. Just saying.

Picky Picky

I'm not a picky eater or anything, but it would be nice to have a meal that's a bit more substantial than mystery mash.

Oh, wait...did someone mention cookies??

Three Wheelin'

This is me on my birthday tricycle. It's so cool. What's not cool, however, is the giant helmet my mom and dad make me wear when I ride my trike. It makes me look like a lollipop. Safety first, I guess.*

Hi, Mommy!

I like riding my tricycle. I bet driving will be even more fun. 14 and a half more years to go!

*Yes, my parents do realize that I am not wearing my helmet properly. They're working on it.

Boo!

It isn't fair that my mom and dad wouldn't let me go trick-or-treating this year. I only have four teeth, so it's not like a little bit of candy is going to kill me. If those four teeth rot, I'll have 16 others to chew with. Well, Halloween wasn't too bad this year. We carved these pumpkins and then played outside since it was nice and warm.

Happy Belated Birthday to ME, Part 2

I was super happy to have all of my friends and family join me to celebrate my very first birthday party. Here are more pictures* of my happy birthday party:

This is my cousin Maiya. Look! We caught her actually smiling!!

My cousin Michelle and her best friend Sarah are on bubble patrol.

This is my Aunt Mi-Mi. She likes to spoil me. I'm totally OK with that.

My grandma is keeping my cousin Zion busy. Zion is a little baby, so he wasn't sure of what to make of all the fuss.

Cousin Luca is a good helper. He vacuumed up all of the cake crumbs after the party.

*My mom's talented friend, Christy, took all of these terrific pictures. You should really check out her other work!

Happy Belated Birthday to ME

I am officially ONE year old! Sorry it's taken so long to post these pictures. I actually turned one almost two months ago. Being one year old has lots of responsibilities like teething, becoming a really good walker, terrorizing the dog, experimenting with new foods, AND figuring out ways to not sleep through the night (don't want to miss anything). So obviously, I've been busy. Anyway, here are some pictures of me at my birthday party!

Yay! Cake! I got to eat cake on my birthday. I had a delicious vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting. It was just as fun making a mess as it was eating the cupcake.

I got lots of cool gifts: books, an animal bowling set, Sesame Street flashcards, a growth chart, a farm playset, and cold hard cash. Thank you Paul and Monica, Pat, Dan and Heather, Neil, Jessica and Ty, Aunt Ly-Ly, Aunt Mi-Mi, Aunt Penny, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Pandy, and Grandma Lam (and anyone else I forgot). You guys are the best! I also got my first big boy tricycle (photos coming soon) from my mom and dad. Birthdays are so awesome.

Did I tell you how delicious my birthday cupcakes were? My mom got them from Cakewalk. That Kelly sure can bake up a cupcake! The decorations weren't too shabby, either.

I can't wait for my next birthday party!

A Few More ND Photos

When the sun starts to set in New Salem, the bales of hay emit a pretty golden glow.

Here's Aunt Penny's calf. He's a baby like me. AND, he likes to snack on apples--just like me! We have a lot in common.

Visiting the family and seeing all of the sights in North Dakota sure takes it out of a little kid! But it was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to visit again!

Grandma & Grandpa

Look! It's me and my Grandma Linda. She and my Grandpa Randy Pandy have a really nice backyard. There's lots of space to run around and all kinds of cool birdhouses and stuff that my Grandma made all by herself. Here I am hiding in a bush. Grandma Linda found me and gave me some pretty flowers from her garden.

Here I am with Grandpa Pandy having a very interesting conversation. I can't remember what it was about, but I'm sure we were talking about cookies or something.

These are some cherry and pear tomatoes from their garden. They look delicious.

And they ARE! I must have eaten at least 10 cherry and pear tomatoes. They were still warm from the sun. Yummy.

Yup. I think I'll come back for another visit soon.

Great Grandma Louise

I finally got to meet my Great-Grandma Louise. She's 92 years older than me! There's Uncle Loren grinning in the background.

She's awesome because she let me play in her cupboards. I found a little pot that was my size, which made it easy to run around with and bang on stuff.

Here we are hanging out. Aren't we cute?

New Salem or Bust

I took my very first airplane ride to North Dakota to visit my Grandma Linda, Grandpa Randy Pandy, and Aunt Penny. I also got to meet my Great-Grandma Louise! They live in a little town called New Salem. Here I am on the airplane. I almost slept through the entire plane ride. Luckily, I woke up just in time for the landing.

New Salem is home to the largest holstein cow in the world. Her name is Salem Sue. She sits on a hilltop overlooking the town.

Look how big she is! My mom can barely reach the udders.

Just in case you wanted to know more about the giant cow.

Here is a view of New Salem from Salem Sue's hilltop.
